Pastor Matthew Sullivant was born in Indiana and moved to Canada at the age of three after his parents completed deputation and began serving in ministry. He accepted Christ as his personal Saviour at the age of eight, was baptized at fifteen, and surrendered to God’s call to preach at sixteen while attending a summer camp in Iowa.

Pastor Matt graduated from Canadian Baptist Bible College in 2010 with a Bachelor of Theology degree and later earned a Master of Ministry degree. After serving in youth ministry for seven years, he became the Youth and Music Pastor at Pembina Valley Baptist Church in the fall of 2012.

His ministry focuses on helping young people develop a sincere love for Christ and His Word while encouraging believers of all ages to grow in their walk with the Lord. He oversees the youth ministry, leads the congregational singing, and directs the adult and youth choirs. It is his desire to see Christ honoured through biblical preaching, faithful discipleship, and God-glorifying music that points hearts to the Lord.

Pastor Matt and his wife, Sarah, have been blessed with seven children. They are privileged to serve the Lord together as a family at Pembina Valley Baptist Church and are committed to helping people grow in their relationship with Christ. It is their desire to faithfully serve the Lord and bring Him glory through their home and ministry.
