Our Children's Ministry

At Pembina Valley Baptist Church, our ministries are designed to help you grow in your faith and connect with others. Discover opportunities for all ages to learn, serve, and live in victory through Christ—every Sunday morning at 10:00 AM.

Sunday School (ages 4-11)

Children ages 2–11 gather Sunday mornings for a time of singing before they are dismissed to their age appropriate classes for a foundational Bible lesson. The children are encouraged to memorize weekly Bible verses and a good overview of the Bible is presented.

Wednesday night Master Club is a time the children ages 2–11 look forward to each week. Master Club Ministries is founded on Matthew 23:10 "...for one is your Master, even Christ." Every week, children work on Christian character and how to implement this character in their lives. There is also a strong emphasis on Scripture memorization. The teachers, along with their helpers, are dedicated to helping train children to serve the Master.

The children begin with uplifting and fun-filled singing, followed with a time in which the children go to their age-appropriate classroom. The youngest go to the "God's Little Lambs." Then there is "God's Little Shepherds," and as they grow, they will move on to the "Lookouts" and "Spotters." Then to "Scouts," and lastly, before they move on to the youth department is the "Juniors."

As the children work their way through the program, they have many opportunities to earn badges and awards for different projects. There are opportunities to join in regional competitions with other churches, and many have been awarded a variety of prizes for their projects.

Part of the evening is also set aside for fun outdoor activities in the summer. Special Master Club Jamborees take place throughout the year and are also a highlight for the children.

Your children will not want to miss one evening of this exciting program!

Master Clubs Bus Ministry

Our Bus Ministry is a joyful extension of the church’s calling to reach children with the Gospel of Jesus Christ and bring them into a safe, Christ-centred environment where they can grow in faith.

Each Wednesday evening, children ages 5–11 are invited to attend Master Club, a Bible-based discipleship program designed to teach Scripture, build Christian character, and lay a strong foundation of faith at an early age. Through Scripture memory, Bible lessons, songs, games, and caring mentorship, children are encouraged to know God’s Word and apply it to their lives.

Our trained volunteers are committed to ensuring that every child is cared for, welcomed, and treated with kindness from pickup to drop-off.

Above all, this ministry exists to share the hope of the Gospel. We believe children are not just the church of tomorrow—they are a vital part of the church today. We desire to see each child come to know Jesus Christ as Saviour and grow in their walk with Him in a loving, Bible-believing church family.

We welcome those from Winkler and Morden to take part in this opportunity for their children to hear God’s Word, build friendships, and be faithfully pointed to Christ each week.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL

Every summer, our church comes alive with excitement during our annual Vacation Bible School! Designed for children ages 5–12, VBS is a fun-filled week where kids grow in their faith, build friendships, and create lasting memories. Children are divided into age-appropriate groups — ages 5 & 6, 7–9, and 10–12 — allowing each child to enjoy lessons and activities geared specifically to their stage of life.

Each day is packed with energetic singing, inspiring Bible stories, and exciting messages that clearly present God’s truth in a way children can understand and enjoy. Along with the Bible lessons, kids look forward to group games, outdoor activities, tasty snacks, and plenty of laughter. And of course, no VBS would be complete without favorite highlights like the treasure box and the always-popular dunk tank!

Vacation Bible School is more than just a summer event — it is a place where children are encouraged, challenged, and shown the love of Christ in a fun and welcoming environment.
